The Commonwealth Public Policy Advocacy Council

 

 

Who

Public policy advocates who do business in Kentucky, but particularly those who represent nonprofits and other community-based organizations, and educational agencies and organizations.  These include registered lobbyists, paid staff and volunteers.

Vision
Creating Access and Opportunity for Kentucky’s Public Policy Advocate Community

Mission
CPPAC exists to promote dialogue and exchange among the Kentucky public policy advocate community and the state government community through training, networking and information sharing.

Member Benefits

  1. Opportunities to network with elected officials and government leaders at periodic breakfasts or lunches at organized national or regional events of interest to public policy advocates.
  2. Relationship-building and/or mentorship opportunities with experienced public policy advocates, including corporate or contract lobbyists.
  3. Opportunities for professional development at periodic meetings and seminars to learn more about issues of particular interest to public policy advocates. In addition to issue-oriented events, there will be seminars on lobbying techniques and best practices.
  4. A respected voice for Kentucky's public policy advocates, where CPPAC will issue resolutions as requested by a majority of members on issues affecting its members.
  5. Access to a private message board where Council members can share information, ask for ideas and answer colleagues' questions, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  Special "issue chats" will be set up on an as-requested or as-needed basis.
  6. Access to a calendar of state and national events of special interest to public policy advocates, especially those affiliated with nonprofits and other community-based organizations, and educational institutions and organizations.
  7. Access to an e-directory of other Council members.
